Research & Discovery

We began by analyzing the visual language of existing Emolyne products, competitor lipsticks, and modern African-inspired design motifs. Key insights included:

• Users favor packaging that feels substantial but is easy to carry.
• A distinctive top design can double as a brand signature.
• Textures and matte finishes can subtly elevate perceived value.

Product Design Approach

Sculpted, Asymmetric Profile

The lipstick case features a gentle twist in its vertical silhouette, giving it a sculptural presence. This ergonomic curve improves grip comfort while providing a fresh take on standard cylindrical forms.

Material & Finish

• Main Body: Matte cocoa-brown finish that evokes both warmth and richness.
• Banding Detail: A metallic bronze ring bisects the form, adding contrast and a visual cue for product separation.

These finishes were chosen to align with Emolyne’s color philosophy and aspirational branding.

3D Modeling & Rendering

• Modeled in Fusion 360 for precision.
• Rendered using Blender for accurate lighting, texture, and material fidelity.
• Emphasis was placed on soft shadows and reflection balance to highlight curvature and material transitions.
