US&IRIS is a premium lifestyle brand blending timeless aesthetics with functionality, rooted in storytelling and craft. We were commissioned to design a luxury camera bag and strap system that would reflect the brand's refined design language while meeting the practical needs of creatives and photographers.

The challenge was to create a high-end product that appeals to style-conscious users, offers durable camera protection, and transitions seamlessly between professional shoots and personal journeys.

Design Goals

Luxury Craftsmanship: Use premium materials, finishes, and artisanal detailing to align with the Us & Iris ethos.
Functional Interior: Provide modular compartments for cameras, lenses, and accessories without compromising elegance.
Versatile Form Factor: Create a design suitable for both men and women, usable as a camera bag and an everyday carry item.
Strap Modularity: Design interchangeable straps for crossbody, shoulder, and wrist use.
Timeless Appeal: Emphasize minimal hardware, clean silhouettes, and enduring materials.

Product Design Approach

Bag Form & Structure

Exterior: Soft-structured silhouette in full-grain Italian leather with natural pebbling, paired with suede accents.
Interior: Custom-molded foam inserts wrapped in Alcantara, with repositionable dividers for flexible storage.
Hardware: Hidden magnetic closures and matte brushed brass zippers for quiet, elegant access.

User Experience Touches

Included RFID-safe pocket and soft-lined sleeve for SD cards and phones.

Designing for US&IRIS required balancing artistry with utilitarian function. This project was a deep dive into tactile luxury, modular thinking, and the emotional value of beautiful tools. The final product not only complements the lifestyle of creators but reinforces the narrative of design as a form of self-expression.
